All Saints Church Selsley

During 2012 All Saints Selsley will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of its construction and dedication. We will be holding many events during the year to mark the milestone, including concerts and a flower festival. See below:

Sunday 18 March  11am - Mothering Sunday - posies will be distributed during the service. Simnel cake and coffee will be served afterwards.

Sunday 13 May 6 pm - Gloucester Cathedral Choir concert

Sunday 17 June 11am -  ’Welcome Back’  - this service will be a Songs of Praise and will especially welcome back former residents of Selsley. There will be an exhibition of parish registers, village photo albums and other memorabilia.

Thursday 12 July -  an evening concert by the Cotswold Music Makers.

Sunday 29 July   A Gala Summer Evening Concert and Reception with Sarah Connolly CBE - Selsley’s own international opera and lieder singer - accompanied by Eugene Asti;  and The Cancion Ensemble (mezzo soprano Clare Presland,  ’cellist Brian O’Kane, pianist Jean Paul Pruna).  Pre concert drinks and picnic basket each. 

Friday 14 - Sunday 16 September  -  Flower Festival   ’Creation’.   On the Friday,  there will be music and refreshments.

Saturday 15 September -  a live Jazz Concert in All Saints

Sunday 16 September -  Festival Evensong with the Dean of Gloucester

Sunday 7 October - Harvest Festival - Ploughmans’ Lunch

Sunday 4 November - All Saints Sunday - Choral Evensong with the choir of St Mary’s, Charlton Kings

Sunday 18 November - Confirmation Service with the Bishop of Gloucester

Saturday 15 December - 7.30pm - the Thameshead Singers 

Friday 21 December -7pm - Christmas Carol Service
