150th Anniversary 2012 inc major church services
During 2012 All Saints Selsley will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of its construction and dedication. We will be holding many events during the year to mark this milestone, including distinguished preachers (reflecting on our extraordinary stained glass), concerts and a flower festival.

Sunday 20 May 11 am Preacher Rev Canon Thomas Woodhouse, Rector of Wootton Basset (and former curate of Cainscross & Selsley) - window “Ascension”
Sunday 17 June 11am - ’Welcome Back’ - this service will be a Songs of Praise and will especially welcome back former residents of Selsley. There will be an exhibition of parish registers, village photo albums and other memorabilia.
Sunday 24 June 11 am RSCM “Music Sunday” - Preacher Rev Michael Garland, vicar of St Mary’s Charlton Kings - “Music in Worship”
Thursday 12 July - an evening concert by the Cotswold Music Makers.
Sunday 29 July - 5 pm. A Gala Summer Evening Concert and Reception with Sarah Connolly CBE - Selsley’s own international opera and lieder singer - accompanied by Eugene Asti. Pre concert drinks and picnic basket each. Tickets £35 from Susan Edwards 01453-764745.
Friday 14 - Sunday 16 September - Flower Festival ’The Beauty of Creation’. On the Friday, there will be music and refreshments; and on the Saturday evening a live Jazz Concert in the church.

Sunday 7 October 11 am - Harvest Festival - Ploughmans’ Lunch
Sunday 21 October 11 am - Preacher Rev Canon Andrew Braddock, Diocesan Missioner - “Preaching like Paul”
Sunday 4 November - Choral Evensong with the choir of St Mary’s, Charlton Kings
Sunday 18 November - 11 am Confirmation Service with the Bishop of Gloucester Saturday 15 December - “The Communion of Saints”
7.30pm - Christmas Concert with the Thameshead Singers
Sunday in Dec - to be confirmed- Rev Ricarda Witcombe, vicar of St Paul’s with St Stephen’s, Gloucester - “The Visitation of the Virgin Mary to Elizabeth
Friday 21 December -7.30 pm - Christmas Carol Service (and mince pies!)
